Mushrooms: you can eat them as a complement to a pasta dish, salad, or burger. You can also do the ones with notable amounts of psilocybin or other psychedelic properties and have a nice little trip. This blog, however, will not be dealing with either of these types. This blog will cover mushrooms you won’t be able to find at the grocery store but can legally acquire to help you with one or more health conditions or symptoms.

China is the top producer of medicinal mushrooms that have potential health benefits. The Eastern Hemisphere long ago discovered the potential benefits of medicinal mushrooms and has used them in countless ways.

A mushroom vape is a small, handheld device that uses a heating mechanism to warm a mushroom-rich e-liquid and transform it into an inhalable vapor. Most mushroom vapes are prefilled and meant to be used until they’re empty, then disposed of. However, some products also come in the form of vape carts that are meant to be screwed onto a reusable battery. 

​No matter its form, a mushroom vape generally offers the same benefits: it’s easy to use – making it a great choice for beginners – and subtle enough to use basically anywhere you go. Plus, unlike gummies or edibles, vapes help you get mushroom compounds into your bloodstream within minutes, leading to much faster effects that also fade quicker.

Mushroom vapes just like cannabis vapes do: they use a small heating coil or a similar method to heat up a potent e-liquid that’s contained inside a glass or plastic chamber. Many vapes have a button or draw mechanism that requires you to either hold a button or inhale for a few moments to produce the vapor. 

​When you finish inhaling, the heating mechanism stops, and the liquid cools until you’re ready to use the device again. 

Can you smoke shrooms? As we alluded to above, while you certainly can smoke magic mushrooms, it is probably not the best idea.

‍To be perfectly clear, we are talking here about magic mushrooms, also known as psychedelic mushrooms, which contain psilocybin. (A looser definition of “magic mushrooms” adapted by brand marketing may also refer to legal, psilocybin-free mushrooms – we’ll get to that in the next section.)

‍It is possible to take dried psilocybin-containing shrooms, grind them coarsely, and roll them up as you would tobacco or cannabis. But you may find it to be a waste of time.
